Upgrade Policy
The following rules apply uniformly to End-Users and to any/all
Remarketers, Resellers or Distributors.
- Upgrade when a new version is released within 60 days of your purchase
date -- No Charge
- Upgrade from a "Current" Version due to a bug fix -- No
Charge
- Any Other Upgrade -- a nominal charge applies, depending
on the product. Check current shipping versions for costs
involved with upgrades.
- "Bug Fix" Upgrades occur when a verified bug is reported to
Triticom and is being experienced by a specific end-user. Outside of the standard 60-day
warranty period, "Bug Fix" upgrades occur solely at the
discretion of Triticom.
- At its option, Triticom may chose to upgrade all registered end-users of
a particular product version known to contain a "Bug". Such an upgrade will be
at no charge to the end-user.
- A "Current" Version is defined as one which has the same major
version number or is no more than one major version number less than the product which is
shipping on a given date.
- No discounts are applicable to purchased upgrades.
- For Upgrades to Triticom products: A valid product registration form must
be on file with Triticom before a product upgrade will be shipped. A serial number must be
supplied for all upgrades. All outstanding invoices must be paid before the upgrade is
shipped.
- A Reseller, Remarketer. or Distributor may obtain an upgrade for an
end-user by supplying proof of registration (i.e., referencing a registered serial number
and the end-user name associated with that registration). The end-user may be charged
whatever the market will bear for the upgrade.
- Upgrade costs include standard UPS Ground shipping costs within the U.S.
Any further shipping costs are to be absorbed by the End-User, Reseller, Remarketer, or
Distributor.
